What You Wish You Knew About JP

Tight parking, friendly neighbors and a pretty decent branch of the MBTA are all aspects inherent to Jamaica Plain, but what do you wish you knew about the community before making your move.

Several readers answered this question on the Jamaica Plain Patch Facebook page during the week, here's what they had to say:

Gordon Bedford: "I wish I'd known that they'll ticket you for parking under a street cleaning sign, even when it's not street cleaning season."

Paul Barroqueiro:  "I spent nine years of my life in the medieval torture chamber that is the Green Line. Never again. JP FTW!"

Richard Dion: "That people use parking space savers long after the snow has melted. Rarely able to park on my own street, let alone near my own home."

Rachel Murray: "I wish I knew how awesome it was years earlier and how pleasant the orange line is compared to the red line and green line."
