300th Celebration Quilt Displayed, LHS Grad Lands Nursing Scholarship

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Aug. 7 in Lexington.

1.  LHS Grad Lands Nursing ScholarshipLexington High graduate Melissa Fuery has been awarded a $500 Mount Auburn Nursing Scholarship. She'll attend Loyola University in Chicago in the fall.

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it yesterday, we shared the good news that LexMedia and RCN have launched a HD channel that will be like a "Best of" assortment of LexMedia's public, education and government programming. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out

4. 300th Celebration Quilt on Display: The Rising Star quilters guild has announced the 300th Celebration Quilt, Pieces of Our Town is being displayed as "Best of Guild" at Images, the 2013 quilt show in Lowell at the end of this week. You can read more about the Lowell Quilt Festival here

5. Sunny Day, Maybe Rain Tonight: Patchy fog early will clear to a mostly sunny day with a high of 80, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts possible showers overnight and a low of 61.
