A Casting Call, a Monster Party and More
We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Aug. 6 in Lexington.

1. Your Voice Could Go Down in History: The Lexington Historical Society is holding an open casting call for voice actors to portray colonial characters for a prototype audio tour being developed for the Buckman Tavern. It goes down from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Lexington Depot.
2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Housing Partnership Subcommittee at 9 a.m. at Cary Hall and the ad hoc Cary Memorial Building Renovation Design Committee at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building.

4. About That Monster Party: Drop by the Elephant's Trunk Children's Bookshop at 10:30 a.m. this morning to read and romp with a special monster storytime featuring new titles and classics ... and maybe even a monster or two.
5. A Sunny Day and a Cloudy Night: Should be mostly sunny today, with a high of 79, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a mostly cloudy evening with a low of 57.
