Deadline Extended for Art Exhibit Submissions

Artists looking to submit work for a juried exhibit at Nourish restaurant still have time, as the organizers have extended the deadline to midnight on Thursday, Sept. 16.

Original artwork, including prints, paintings or drawings are being sought for the exhibit, with the theme: "Celebrating the Food We Eat." The exhibit will run from Sept. 20 to Feb. 28 at Nourish.

An artist reception will also be held for those whose work is selected for the show. Submissions will be juried by artist Barbara Lucas and Gillian Ross, and gallery owner Francesca Anderson.

No commission is taken on sales of work, and artists are encouraged to donate 10 percent of selling prices to their local food pantry.

Those interested in submitting work may do so by Sept. 16. Those whose work is accepted will be notified by e-mail by Sept. 19 and will receive information about where and when to deliver work on Sept. 20.

Submission guidelines: 

• Provide up to 4 digital images at 300 dpi each. 
• For each image include the following information in the body of your email: artist name, medium, size of the finished piece (indicating H for height and W for width). 
• Artwork, including frame, must not exceed a height of 36 inches or a width of 48 inches.
• Include a text file with artist biography, address, phone number and e-mail address as you would like it to appear in the Artist Book maintained at Nourish.
• E-mail images and information to nourishart@gmail.com.

Deadline for submissions is midnight on Thursday, Sept. 16.
