Estabrook Update: Latest Air Test Results Expected Monday

Superintendent's Advisory Committee to meet Monday to discuss results and potential action to take.

In a letter to parents posted on the Lexington Public Schools' website, Superintendent Paul Ash noted that results from the most recent polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) air testing done at the school will not be available until Monday.

The results were expected late on Thursday, however the delayed results mean the Superintendent's Advisory Committee will not meet until Monday evening, Ash said.

Substantially more fresh air is being circulated in all rooms, and additional air units have been added to the kindergarten classrooms, the letter said, and facilities staff is checking air units three times a day.

At Monday night's meeting the advisory committee will discuss steps that will need to be taken soon, and in the mean time Estabrook will be open next week with no changes in the schedule, Ash said.
