Fire incidents:

On Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 11:33 a.m., a detail police officer reported a wire fire on a pole on Bedford Street at Cider Mill Lane. NStar was advised. Worn insulation was found on the wire. Fire officials reported no imminent hazard, and the detail officer remained while a crew worked on the wire.

A possible car fire was reported on Rte. 2 west on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 12:56 p.m. State police were at the scene. No fire was present, and officials evaluated and treated the 57-year-old female driver who was taken to Mt. Auburn Hospital.

Also on Sept. 9, firefighters provided mutual aid coverage to Woburn for a two-alarm fire in that town at 7:47 p.m. Lexington provided coverage until 9:27 p.m. Lexington medics also provided mutual aid.

A rollover car accident was reported on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 6:02 a.m. on Rte. 128 north. Lexington firefighters and medics assisted with care and taking a victim to Lahey Hospital. State police were also at the scene.

Also on Sept. 11, a five-gallon gas tank was reported leaking on Marrett Road at 10:59 a.m. Firefighters applied a drying agent to the gas.

On Monday, Sept. 13 at 6:43 p.m., a Fifer Lane resident reported her stove would not shut off and it was causing the cabinets to get hot. Firefighters assisted.
