The Lexington Farmers' Market is offering a free health workshop at next week's market, Aug. 17, from  2 to 4 p.m. at the market mangers' tent. Participants can have their blood pressure taken and talk with a health official from the Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) to learn what blood pressure readings can tell about a person's health. Jen McCafferty, a master of public health candidate working with the will be on hand to answer health questions about the flu vaccine, eating healthy and mosquitoes. Free tote bags, compliments of the Lexington Board of Health, will be provided to participants of the workshop.
