The Hartwell Avenue gate for Hanscom Air Force Base will be closed for road repairs next weekend, starting Friday night. The repairs will require a gate closure on Friday, Aug. 27 at 10 p.m., and the gate will remain shut until Monday, Aug. 30 at 6 a.m., according to the town website. Cars will be rerouted from the Hartwell gate to Gate 2, accessed by I-95 and Rte. 2A. Work will not be done on any Lexington streets, however traffic could increase along Wood Street as a result of the repair work.
