My family and I have lived in Lexington for 13 years. My wife, our 3 boys and I have loved the Culture, Camaraderie, and History of our town

I would like to start out by stating how excited I am about becoming a Lexington Patch Mayor! I have been looking forward to being able to brag about our wonderful town of Lexington, but first I would like all of the Patch readers to get to know me a bit, before I get into the details and my experiences of living in Lexington Massachusetts.
My wife had grown up in Concord Ma, and I was raised in the City of Boston in an area called Beacon Hill. We had met each other on Cape Cod, and when we got Married, we lived in the city for a year or so. When she was expecting, we both agreed we wanted to move to the suburbs to raise our children. My wife, being from Concord was very familiar with Lexington, and it didn't take me long to fall in love with it as well. Driving around one day, my wife noticed a house being built. It was just framed, so she gave the builder a call that afternoon, made an offer. For the next couple months, my wife worked closely with the builder to make sure it was perfect, and boom, we soon moved into our first home, here in Lexington.
Since then, it may sound quite odd, but my wife and I have turned into "Serial Movers". WHAT? I will explain. In the past 13 years, my wife and I have overseen the building of three or our homes. We have fallen into a pattern of every couple years, we work with builders, and begin construction on our new future home. What I would like to include is, all of our moves have been within a 1/2 mile of each other, (the latest, completed as of 1 year ago, was directly across the street). Why might you ask?

Well, the reasons for moving are not that peculiar. The usual motivations for anyone are included in our reasoning as well; Growing family, upgrades, Etc. Our reasoning for not migrating very far, I am sure is obvious. We love our Town, we love our school, and we love our neighborhood. Our children's Elementary School the year before our oldest began Kindergarten won a NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON, for academic excellence. The teachers, the Administration, the kids, and their families make our schools all around Lexington, some of the most special institutions I have ever experienced.
I look forward to sharing with all of you numerous experiences my children, my wife and I have been lucky enough to be a part of, due to living in Lexington.
