To the Editor:
I am writing to state my endorsement of Michelle Ciccolo, who is running for Planning Board in the upcoming municipal election. Michelle has an extensive background in planning, community development and municipal management and thus will bring experience, knowledge, and perspective to her role as a Planning Board Member.
When endorsing a person for elective office in our local town elections I look at a number of factors including how a candidate's job relates to the office they seek to hold. For Michelle to be a member of our Planning Board is a perfect match. As an Assistant Town Administrator, Michelle is always looking for creative and thoughtful approaches to balance the issues facing a community and as a member of our Planning Board she will apply those same talents and skills to our Town.

In all my dealings with her, I have found Michelle to be person who listens and then acts in a fair, efficient and insightful way. She is smart, pays attention to detail and knows the right questions to ask. I trust Michelle to protect our neighborhoods and listen to our concerns while at the same time balancing the needs of our Town as a whole.
Growing up in Lexington and now raising her children here, Michelle cares deeply about Lexington and how it will look and function in the years to come. Over the next five weeks, I encourage you to learn more about my friend, Michelle Ciccolo, by attending coffees, events and by visiting her web page at: www.michelleciccolo.org and please remember to vote on March 7, 2011.
