Lexington 18-Year-Old Charged In Rancatore's, Teppanyaki Break-Ins
Police arrested Lexington man Sept. 2 after string of break-ins Aug. 20 to 22.

Police say an 18-year-old Lexington man has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of break-ins in late August at Rancatore's Ice Cream & Yogurt and Teppanyaki Asian Cuisine.
Julian Zagaeski, 18, of 814 Massachusetts Avenue, was arrested Thursday, Sept. 2 and charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering during the night and larceny over $250, police said.
Rancatore's was broken into two days in a row – in the early-morning hours of Aug. 20 and 21 – and $675 and $1,000 cash was taken from the register, while a third break-in attempt on Aug. 22 was unsuccessful, police said. See related story.

An Aug. 22 break-in attempt at nearby Teppanyaki was successful, however, with entry gained through a rear window and an undisclosed amount of money taken from the register, police said.
Police Capt. Manny Ferro said Zagaeski's arrest in connection with the Rancatore's and Teppanyaki break-ins was a result of hard work by Lexington detectives.
