Lexinton's GenesisHR Battlegreen Run Race is Back on November 6, 2022
100% of Race Proceeds are Given to Charity Partners
The Battlegreen Run Foundation Inc (https://www.battlegreenrunfoundation.org/) is excited to announce the 27th running of the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run taking place on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in Lexington, MA. With the mission of supporting local non-profits, 100 percent of registration and donation proceeds go directly to charity partners. Individuals or Non-profits organizations can register to join in the fun.
Hosted by Boston’s Sports station 98.5, Todd Angilly, the official Anthem Singer of the Boston Bruins, will send the runners along their way with a stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, accompanied by musket fire, courtesy of the Lexington Minute Men. Racers can choose between 10K or 5K race, 5K Walk and Kids Fun Run or a Virtual race and enjoy a day filled with before and after festivities including snacks and food, giveaways, kids and family activities.
“We’re so excited about all of the new organizations that have joined up to raise money for their causes. When we started the race in 1996, we wanted to create a local tradition that the community looks forward to every year while also raising much needed funds for non-profits,” says Bob Burbidge Battlegreen Run Foundation Board Member. “Last year alone, our race helped to raise over $130,000 which was distributed to our Non-Profit partners and we’re so looking forward to our 2022 race!”

Since its inception in 1996, the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run has been established as one of the most popular road race events in New England, with its unique setup to support local charities. Non-profits such as Supportive Living, Special Needs Arts Program and Ependymoma Research Foundation have participated over the years as a way to fundraise in a group setting. Team Members manage a personal fundraising page and can solicit donations from friends and family.
“We have been nonprofit partners with the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run since 2019,” says Samarrah Fine Clayman, Co-Founder of the Ependymoma Research Foundation. “Not only does the event provide essential funding to support our mission, it is such a positive and uplifting event.
