Lexpress Route Change Begins Tuesday
Change made to morning routes to address overcapacity issue.

To address overcapacity issues on a LEXPRESS bus, a morning route change is being made starting on Tuesday, Sept. 14, said town Transportation Services Coordinator Gail Wagner in an announcement today.
LEXPRESS's "Route 2" bus has been overcapacity on recent mornings with as many as 4o riders on its 7:05 a.m. run.
Starting Tuesday, the "Route 4" bus at that time will pick up at the Lexington Ridge stop on Waltham Street at 7:20 a.m., and the April Lane stop at 7:23 a.m. Those looking to pick up bus service between Kinston Park Drive and April Lane are asked to board the "Route 4" bus at April Lane.

The change is being made as the "Route 2" driver has been unable to let some riders board because of overcrowding. Buses have 20 seats and can handle approximately 10 standing riders.
