Library and Farmers' Market Team Up to Go Green

Tuesday event for children to be held at the market.

Tuesday is Go Green day with the Lexington Farmers' Market and from 4 to 5 p.m. at the market managers' tent.

Kids entering grades three to six, and their parents, can get to know farmers at the market, and learn interesting eco-friendly facts with Lori Deliso from Kids Cooking Green and Ruth Lynn from the library.

Participants will hear first-hand from the farmers — like Rita of HerbFarmacy, who has 30,000 sleeping lady bugs in her refrigerator at home — then tour the market. Kids can get a healthy local snack with a complimentary $2 market gift coupon.
