Meet the Lexington Patch Moms Council

Moms Talk discussion starts Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Moms Talk is a new feature on Lexington Patch that is part of an initiative on our Patch sites to offer useful information and spark pertinent discussions on parenting topics.

Lexington Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community for mothers, fathers and their families right here in Lexington. Each Wednesday in Moms Talk, our Moms Council will take your questions, give advice and get discussions going on all things parent-related.

Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, 24-hour pharmacies and thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.

Moms Talk will also be the place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic. Do you know of local moms working to raise their children holistically? Where can we get information on local flu shot clinics for children? How do we monitor our children's behavior on the Internet? How can we help our children's schools?

We've got a few great moms on the council already, but we're looking for a few more. And yes, even though it's called the Moms Council, we really want you dads out there to participate too. Who wants to step up and be the first dad to join the council?
