Minuteman High Receives Donated GMC, Chevy Trucks
MassBay Community College donated two 2019 pickup trucks to the high school's automotive technology program.

LEXINGTON, MA — Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School’s Automotive Technology program recently received donations of two 2019 diesel pickup trucks, a GMC Sierra and a Chevrolet Silverado, from MassBay Community College.
The trucks had original sticker prices of more than $45,000. Each had very low mileage and were essentially used as test vehicles as part of General Motors’ Captured Test Fleet. The donated trucks provide students with experience working on the latest technology in diesel-fueled vehicles.
“MassBay’s donation of the 2019 GMC Sierra to Minuteman High School gives our students hands-on experience with the latest automotive technology,” said Donald Melanson, automotive instructor at Minuteman. “We are extremely grateful for MassBay’s continued partnership, which helps prepare future technicians with rewarding careers in the automotive industry and narrows the skills gap.”
