One Man Arrested for Assault and Battery, Another for Stealing Bicycle

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, October 22-

Police arrested William Edward Sheffield, 31, of 1475 Mass. Avenue, Lexington, on a charge of domestic assault and battery. At 10:41 a.m. there was a report of assault and battery on Massachusetts avenue after a concerned resident called about the well being of neighbor. Police found a domestic assault and battery between husband and wife had taken place. Sheffield was located in Woburn by Woburn Police and charged. 

At 9:44 a.m. police cited a driver for operating a motor vehicle after a revoked insurance.

Wednesday, October 23-

Police arrested Mark Roberto Sokolski, 21, of 22 Paul Revere Road, Bedford, on a charge of larceny of property over $250. At 2:57 p.m. police made an arrest the arrest in relation to a stolen bicycle report on October 12.

At 10:40 a.m. there was a report of a suspicious person on Taft Avenue. New resident in neighbor said older heavyset male knocking on their door. Subject was looking for a former resident.

At 11:06 a.m. police cited a driver on Worthen Road for operating a motor vehicle with revoked insurance.

At 12:43 p.m. there was a report of larceny of cash from a Grandview Avenue location.

At 1:42 p.m. police cited a driver on Mass. Avenue for operating with revoked insurance.
