Over 1,200 Runners Raised A New Record for Charitable Partners in Lexi
With over 1,200 virtual and in-person runners, they raised well over $100,000, of which all proceeds are distributed to Non-Profit Partners
The Battlegreen Run Foundation Inc (https://www.battlegreenrunfoundation.org/) is excited to announce the results from their GenesisHR Solutions Battlegreen Run which took place on Sunday, November 3, 2024 in Lexington, MA. With over 1,200 virtual and in-person runners, they raised well over $100,000, of which all proceeds are distributed to Non-Profit Partners and legacy partners. Since inception, this brings the race’s total charitable proceeds to over $1.2 Million.
The family-filled day featured musket fire courtesy of the Lexington Minuteman, along with Todd Angilly, the official Anthem Singer of the Boston Bruins, hosted by Boston’s Sports station 98.5. With the Kids Fun Run and 10K, 5K race and 5K walk, and new this year a 1.2 mile walk for participants with special needs the event brought together the Lexington and surrounding community for a wonderful day.
“The 2024 Battlegreen Run race was once again a testament to the power of community spirit and giving back, which we love to see year after year. Seeing runners and walkers of all ages come together, pushing themselves and cheering each other on, was inspiring. Every step taken and every dollar raised will make a real difference for our non-profit partners, who do such amazing, critical work.,” says Bob Burbidge Battlegreen Run Foundation Board Member. “We’re so thankful for all of our participants and supporters for making 2024 a huge success!”

10K Race winner, Nicholas Hall came in 1st place with a time of 34:39 with Dan McCarthy and Kyle Johnson coming in shortly behind him. Nora Blodgett won for females with a time of 37:40 with Reina Parades and Zenia Schmitz taking second and third respectively. 5K Race Winner, Jovan Sematimba came in 1st place with a time of 16:39 with Holden Cassity and Daniel Weir following close behind. For the Women’s Division 5K Race, Shannon McAndrew took the lead at 18:49 with Emerson Kosnik and Erin Kelly coming in 2nd and 3rd place. Full race results can be found here.
Since founding in 1996, the GenesisHR Solutions Battlegreen Run has been established as one of the most popular road race events in New England, with its unique setup to support local charities. Non Profit Partners include: Rawkstars, Ependymoma Research Foundation, Esperanza – Hope for the Children, Inc., Lexington High School Hockey and Lacrosse teams, The Joslin Diabetes Center, Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston, Lexington Special Education PTA, Minuteman Parents Association, New England Innocence Project, Special Needs Arts Programs (SNAP),Supportive Living Inc., Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, The William Diamond Middle School PTA and many others.

About Battlegreen Run Foundation
The Battlegreen Run Foundation is an official 501(c)3 charity that organizes an annual road race held in Lexington, MA annually on the first Sunday in November to provide a fundraising platform for a number of worthy local charities. Overall proceeds from the race are all shared with participating charities and related fundraising events are donated to organizations that benefit Lexington and its surrounding communities.
