John Mazerall and Michael McLean sworn in as lieutenants during cermemony at the Town Office Building.
In a ceremony at the Town Office Building Friday afternoon, two members of the Lexington Police Department were sworn in as lieutenants. Town Clerk Donna Hooper conducted the swearing-in of John Mazerall and Michael McLean.
At the ceremony, Police Chief Mark Corr said it is unusual for two officers who were in the police academy together to end up being promoted to lieutenant at the same time.
"You earned this, you worked hard," Corr said. "We appreciate you coming on command at another level."
