Police: Man Arrested for Burlington Street Burglary

Fingerprints left at a burglarized Burlington Street home lead police to arrest a Billerica man.

A Billerica man who police say broke into a Burlington Street home in July and stole a range of items including a laptop, jewelry and cash was arrested Sunday morning.

Agop J. Anajarian, 24, of 5 Fenner St., was arrested yesterday just before noon after police obtained a search warrant and found items in his home that were taken from a Burlington Street home during a July burglary, said Capt. Manny Ferro.

A laptop computer, Ipod, watches, jewelry and cash were stolen when the Burlington Street home was broken into through a rear window on July 26. Detectives found fingerprints left by the intruder, which matched fingerprint records for Anajarian, Ferro said.

Anajarian was charged with larceny, breaking and entering during the day and malicious destruction of property over $250. He was also charged with forgery and larceny on two warrants from outside departments.

Police are investigating whether Anajarian was involved in other Lexington burglaries occurring in the last few months, though Anajarian is not currently a suspect in any other case, Ferro said.
