Police Working Leads in Bank Robbery Case
Police are also looking for at least two males suspected of breaking into downtown businesses last week.
As of Tuesday, police say they remain on the hunt for a man who robbed the Watertown Savings Bank on Monday around 9:30 a.m.
The man, who approached a teller with a knife, got away with an undisclosed amount of money after fleeing toward Rte. 2 in a green Toyota sedan with a stolen license plate.
Monday, Capt. Manny Ferro said police are still looking into leads in the case, and that typically arrests can take some time to make.

"We're still working on some leads," he said. "Unfortunately, sometimes these things take awhile to develop."
Ferro said police are also looking into leads on a string of burglaries at two downtown businesses that occurred late last week and into the weekend. At least two males are thought to be involved.

Rancatore's Ice Cream and Yogurt was robbed early on Friday and Saturday mornings, of $1,675 in cash, and a third break-in attempt was made early Sunday morning at the ice cream shop. Also Sunday morning, Teppanyaki Asian Cuisine was broken into and a small amount of money was stolen.
