See where Lexington Ranks Among America's Smartest Cities

The numbers have been crunched, the stats have been analyzed and the verdict is in - Lexington is one of the smartest cities in America.

The town ranked 22nd on the list of smartest cities. The rankings come from Lumosity, a  cognitive training site run by  Lumos Labs, according to a report by Business Insider. 

The rankings looked at people's performance on Lumosity's brain training exercises - speed, attention, flexibility, memory and problem solving. This year the study included more than 3 million participants age 15 to 85, according to the report.

Lexington is just one local community to make the top 50. Cambridge, Waltham, Somerville, Watertown, Brighton and Natick also made the list, according to Business Insider. The smartest city in America was Stanford, Calif.
