Dept. of Public Works officials have announced that sewer repairs will necessitate road closures for several days this week.  Starting today, Wednesday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 10, lanes will be closed on Massachusetts Avenue near Woburn Street. Also, Winthrop Road between Massachusetts Avenue and Vine Brook Road will be closed from Sept. 8 through Sept. 22.  Due to a separate DPW paving project, Burlington Street will be closed Thursday, Sept. 9 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible. Police details will staff the detour areas. More information is available from the <a href="http://ci.lexington.ma.us/dpw/constructionprojects.cfm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Dept. of Public Works' Engineering Division, and its construction project website.</a>
