Three Police Officers Promoted to Sergeant

Lexington Police Dept. ceremony held Friday.

In a ceremony held Friday afternoon at Cary Hall, three Lexington patrol officers were promoted to sergeant, sworn in by Town Clerk Donna Hooper.

Officers Michael Tuomi and Tim Barry, and Detective Christina Demambro, had their shields pinned by family members after being sworn in.

Police Chief Mark Corr introduced the three as the department's newest sergeants.

"This is a terrific moment for the people being promoted," he said. "As sergeants they'll have a very important role helping officers do what they do." 

Town Manager Carl Valente told the trio that they play a vital role in serving the town and the police department.

"We have a tremendous management team now rounded out by these three new sergeants," he said.
