The town's Engineering Dept. announced that Walnut Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for about a month starting today, Monday, Oct. 4, due to paving.  Long delays and detours are expected during paving, and drivers are asked to seek alternate routes. Detour signs will be posted, and residents will be allowed in and out but may be required to wait for up to an hour.  The paving project is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 29. More information is available on the <a href="http://www.lexingtonma.gov/dpw/constructionprojects.cfm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">2010 DPW Construction Projects</a> page.
