Bill McKibben speaks in Lexington; PCB air levels are a concern for Estabrook parents.

In a talk sponsored by Lexington Global Warming Action Committee and Lexington Community Farm Coalition Sunday night, Eaarth. McKibben talked about the need for people to take up environmental causes and work to combat global warming. McKibben, a Lexington native, also spoke at Hancock United Church Sunday morning.

Tuesday morning, for the second time in eight days, Watertown Savings Bank was robbed. A man approached a teller with a knife and demanded cash, then drove away toward Rte. 2 in a Chevrolet Avalanche. Police released surveillance video of the robbery to Lexington Patch.

Tuesday night, the Board of Selectmen in its public comment period during its meeting addressed an issue of higher-than-recommended levels of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) found in the air at Estabrook Elementary School.

Also this week, a Lexington philosopher, Khasnabish was born in India and now lives in Lexington and is a visiting lecturer at two colleges in the Boston area.
