Estabrook PCB situation updates; arrest made in Rancatore's break-ins.

Tuesday, Lexington Patch posted news of an arrest made in the late August break-ins at Rancatore's Ice Cream & Yogurt and Teppanyaki Asian Cuisine. An 18-year-old Lexington man has been charged in connection with those break-ins.

Also this week, school officials were awaiting test results on PCB air levels at Estabrook Elementary School. On Thursday, Friday night, Superintendent Paul Ash announced that the school will reopen on Monday.

On Thursday, news came of a Lexington woman who was diagnosed with West Nile Virus. The woman sought treatment on Aug. 29, and originally officials believed she had meningitis.

With the primary upcoming on Tuesday, Patch this week put three questions to Republican state Senate candidates Eric Dahlberg and Sandi Martinez. Both responded to questions about property taxes and a potential repeal of Chapter 40B.

Saturday, more than 200 people attended a memorial dedication at Lexington Fire Headquarters. The memorial was funded through an anonymous donor and matching funds from the Lexington Firefighters Local 1491 and the Lexington Firefighters Aid & Relief Association.
