Sunday, Aug. 22

2:19 a.m. – An attempted burglary was reported at Rancatore's Ice Cream and Yogurt on Mass Avenue. (See related story on this and the following two items.)

2:20 a.m. – A burglary was reported at Teppanyaki Asian Cuisine.

2:53 a.m. – An attempt was made to break into a car on Bedford Street.

4:40 a.m. – An unsecured bulkhead door was reported on Mass Avenue.

4:46 a.m. – An open door was reported at Depot Square

5:03 a.m. – Police checked an office building on Mass Avenue.

5:44 a.m. – Police checked on a person on Mass Avenue.

11:54 a.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on Mass Avenue.

12:22 p.m. – Larceny of credit cards was reported on Mass Avenue.

2:22 p.m. – An accident occurred on Bedford Street at Eldred Street.

2:44 p.m. – A bike was reported stolen from in front of a garage on Hancock Avenue.

7:57 p.m. – Police assisted with security at Grace Chapel.

8:19 p.m. – A dispute was reported on Judges Road.

9:19 p.m. – A bicycle was found on Mass Avenue.

10:21 p.m. – A noise complaint of a loud group of youths was reported on Katahdin Drive.

 

Saturday, Aug. 21

6:09 a.m. – A caller on Brent Road reported an unfamiliar car parked near his driveway. Police checked the area, finding the car belonged to a Hathaway Road resident's visitor.

9:12 a.m. – A hit-and-run accident with property damage was reported on Bedford Street.

9:37 a.m. – A Bridge Street resident reported jars of quarters were taken from his unlocked car while parked on Bridge Street or at the National Heritage Museum.

9:48 a.m. – A burglary was reported at Rancatore's on Mass Avenue. A window had been smashed and $1,000 from the register was taken. (See related story.)

10:18 a.m. – A car was reported as disabled on Bedford Street.

12:12 p.m. – An orange and tan purse was reported as lost on Mass Avenue.

1:12 p.m. – Police assisted an elderly man in returning to his home after a Volunteer Way resident reported the man had wandered into his yard.

1:43 p.m. – An unwelcome houseguest was reported on Carol Lane. A resident reported items missing from her home, including alcohol. Evidence of alcohol and drug use was found.

2:12 p.m. – A noise complaint of a barking dog was reported on Bond Road.

2:51 p.m. – Vandalism was reported at the Lexington Golf Club on Hill Street. Flag pins were removed from several golf greens, and the holes filled with dirt.

2:52 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on Bedford Street.

5:49 p.m. – A well-being check was requested on Reed Street.

7:48 p.m. – A noise complaint was received from Franklin Road.

 

Friday, Aug. 20

12:02 a.m. – A dispute was reported on Bedford Street.

8:45 a.m. – Police assisted a Stedman Road resident locked out of a car while an 18-month-old infant was inside.

9:14 a.m. – Suspicious activity was reported on Old Spring Street, with a couple sitting on a lawn refusing to leave.

10:32 a.m. – Animal Control was notified that a dog killed a woodchuck on Curve Street.

11:24 a.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on Childs Road.

11:57 a.m. – A wallet was reported stolen from a car on Marrett Road.

12:24 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on East Street.

1:36 p.m. – Cash was reported taken from Rancatore's on Mass Avenue. (See related story.)

2:33 p.m. – Vandalism was reported on Dane Road.

2:52 p.m. – A wire was reported down on Old Spring Street.

5:25 p.m. – A car was reported broken into on Grapevine Avenue. $3 in spare change was taken from the car, which was unlocked.

5:30 p.m. – A second car was reported broken into Grapevine Avenue. Change was also stolen.

6:45 p.m. – A driver on Woburn Street was cited for driving with a suspended license.

9:57 p.m. – An erratic driver was reported on Middlesex Turnpike.

11:32 p.m. – Credit card fraud was reported on Fairbanks Road.

 

Thursday, Aug. 19

8:05 a.m. – A biker was hit by a car on Mass Avenue at Paul Revere Road. The biker was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington with non life-threatening injuries.

9:26 a.m. – A wire was reported down on Old Spring Street.

10:06 a.m. – Loose dogs were found on Hartwell Avenue.

11:45 a.m. – A breaking and entering was reported at an apartment on Main Campus Drive.

11:57 a.m. – A car was reported as disabled on Grant Street.

1:59 p.m. – Fraud was reported on Stedman Road.

2:12 p.m. – A four-car accident was reported on Rte. 2. A 33-year-old Gardner woman was killed in the accident. (See related story.)

2:14 p.m. – A large tree limb was reported down on a sidewalk on Woburn Street.

5:39 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident with property damage was reported on Rte. 2.

7:32 p.m. – A car was reported broken into on Circle Road.

8:30 p.m. – A suspicious female was reported on Preston Road.

9:54 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on Volunteer Way.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 18

12:48 a.m. – An accident was reported on Bedford Street near Rte. 128, with the driver hitting a no U-turn sign. The driver, a Bedford man, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor, police said. Christopher W. Stone, 22, of 4 Fawn Circle, was also charged with driving with an open container of alcohol and violating marked lanes, police said.

7:59 a.m. – A grey Trek bicycle was reported stolen on Bedford Street.

10:09 a.m. – A car was reported as disabled on Lowell Street.

10:13 a.m. – Credit card fraud was reported on Fairland Street.

10:22 a.m. – A criminal process was served on Pelham Road.

10:47 a.m. – A telephone wire was reported down on Lowell Street.

11:01 a.m. – Animals were reported as possibly being in a storm drain on Ames Avenue.

11:35 a.m. – A wire was reported as down on Grant Street.

12:53 p.m. – A wire was reported as down Old Spring Street.

1:25 p.m. – A well-being check was requested on Boulder Road.

1:38 p.m. – Two bikes were found on Melrose Avenue.

2:57 p.m. – A Taunton man was arrested on Mass Avenue and charged with driving with a suspended license, police said. Eric C. Masse, 24, of 14 Lawrence St., was also charged with not having an inspection sticker and for seatbelt violations, police said.

4:32 p.m. – An accident occurred on Hartwell Avenue.

4:54 p.m. – Vandalism to mailboxes was reported on Lawrence Lane.

5:22 p.m.  – A bike was found on Hancock Street.

6:16 p.m. – A disabled car was reported on Concord Avenue and Walnut Street.

6:44 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident resulting in property damage was reported on Bedford Street.

9:40 p.m. – Arlington police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for a missing person.

11:26 p.m. – A disturbance was reported on Wood Street.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 17

12:29 a.m. – Suspicious activity was reported on Lowell Street.

2:15 a.m. – Belmont police issued a BOLO on a juvenile reported missing.

9:20 a.m. – A criminal process was served on Grant Place.

9:50 a.m. – A parking complaint of a construction vehicle on a sidewalk was reported.

3:06 p.m. – A bicycle was found on Harrington Road.

3:21 p.m. – A criminal process was served on Stedman Road.

6:05 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on Webster Road.

6:38 p.m. – Thirteen establishments were checked for compliance with laws prohibiting alcohol sales to minors. No violations were found. 

8:57 p.m. – A noise complaint of a yelping dog was received from Woburn Street.

11:47 p.m. – A car was reported as disabled on Marrett Road.

11:56 p.m. – A Solomon Pierce Road resident reported someone ringing their doorbell.

 

Monday, Aug. 16

10:32 a.m. – Annoying phone calls were reported on Lexington Ridge Drive.

12:28 p.m. – A wire was reported down on Eldred Street.

3:56 p.m. – Property was found on Bedford Street.

4:41 p.m. – Police assisted an elderly male on Mass Avenue.

6:08 p.m. – A bicycle was reported stolen from Mass Avenue at Depot Square.

7:44 p.m. – An erratic driver was reported on Hancock Street.

8:57 p.m. – A fireworks complaint was received from Main Campus Drive.

9:25 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported on Main Campus Drive.

9:51 p.m. – Animal Control was notified of a missing dog on Mass Avenue.

10:07 p.m. – An accident occurred on Bedford Street at Eldred Street.

10:39 p.m. – A car was reported as disabled on Bedford Street.

10:53 p.m. – Items were reported stolen from a car on Mass Avenue.
