Artist Marjorie Glick Gives Painting Demo Next Week

Today is Friday, September 13. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

Coming up on Thursday, September 19th, Allston artist Marjorie Glick gives a watercolor demonstration at the Lynnfield Art Guild Meeting, 7 p.m. at the Lynnfield Senior Center on Salem Street. Glick’s work has appeard in a number of museums in the region and she has been painting for over 30 years.

Coming up this Saturday, September 14, the Freedom 5K run/walk helps raise awareness for victims of domestic sex trafficking, which affected as many as 3,000 teenagers in this region alone last year. The race starts at 10 a.m. and registration begins at 8 a.m. Click here for more

Pet Adoptions: Local pet adoption group PAWS will be at the PetSmart on Route 114 in Danvers on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a number of cats in need of a good new home.

Monday at 2:30 p.m. the Lynnfield Library holds its first teen trivia day of the school year, with a focus on Hispanic Heritage Month. Winners get cupcakes from Jeanne’s Bakeshop. Ages 12-18.

Coming up on Monday, September 16 at 7 p.m., local author Anthony Sammarco will speak at the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield about his new book, “A History of Howard Johnson’s.”
