Local Businesses Making Donations This Week

Roosters marks grand opening at MarketStreet Lynnfield Wednesday by donating portion of proceeds to Reid's Ride. Two local businesses supporting Alzheimer's Research Friday.

Today is Wednesday, September 4. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

Two businesses at the Centre Court shops are raising money for Alzheimer’s research on Friday. Jeanne’s Bakeshop reports that 25% of your purchase there on Friday – will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Click here to learn more.

Roosters, an upscale men’s grooming salon, is among the newest businesses at MarketStreet Lynnfield. There’s a grand opening celebration with the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce today from 4 to 6 p.m. A portion of the opening day proceeds from Wednesday will be donated to Reid’s Ride, the annual 28-mile bike ride from Lynnfield to Gloucester that has raised a considerable sum to fight cancer in young adults. 

A week from today, the Lynnfield Library’s Curious About Cuisine group holds its first meeting of the season from 3 to 4 p.m., with a topic of “Small Plates: Tapas, Mezes, and Antipasti.”
