Lynnfield Celebrates Red Ribbon Week
A Healthy Lynnfield, Lynnfield Public Schools, and Lynnfield Youth Sports Unite for Red Ribbon Week to Take a Stand Against Drugs
This October, A Healthy Lynnfield partnered with the Lynnfield Public Schools and Lynnfield Youth Sports to participate in Red Ribbon Week, an annual event where communities can unite and take a visible stand against drugs. The Red Ribbon Campaign, the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, allows individuals and organizations to show their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. This year there were many activities, including:
- Red Ribbon Night at Lynnfield High School on October 1th
- A Healthy Lynnfield joined Lynnfield High School for their Fall Sports Pep Rally and had the students participate in an activity to share what they are celebrating this year as they "Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free." on October 21st.
- Lynnfield Town Common was lit red to celebrate the campaign on October 21st.
- Lynnfield Pioneer Youth Football & Cheer celebrated Red Ribbon Day on October23rd.
- Lynnfield Middle School and Lynnfield High School continued to celebrate Red Ribbon Week through October 28th with various theme days and healthy choices activities.
- The youngest learners at Huckleberry Hill School and Summer Street School also have completed a Red Ribbon Week activity on what is harmful and what is hurtful.
