Lynnfield Household Hazardous Waste Day
Time to clear out the old battery drawer: Lynnfield Middle School is hosting a household hazardous waste day on Nov. 19.

LYNNFIELD, MA – Gather your dead batteries and old aerosol cans, this Saturday is your chance to dispose of hazardous materials responsibly.
On Saturday, Nov. 19, from 8 a.m. to noon, town residents are welcome to drop off their items in the middle school parking lot at 505 Main St. Residents must bring a driver's license to prove they live in Lynnfield.

Most items will be free to dispose of, but some the following items come with a cost. TVs and computer monitors are $30 each, large gas grill type propane tanks are $9 each, small propane tanks are $5 each, and car batteries are $6 each.
Public Works is sponsoring the event, and encourages people to carpool with their neighbors to reduce the cost. The town is charged by the full car load, up to 25 lbs or 25 gallons.

Items that cannot be collected are trash, latex paint, radioactive wash, biological waste, ammunition, fireworks, fire extinguishers, and prescription medication.
