Lynnfield Residents React To Irene

It was a windy, rainy Sunday as Irene passed over New England.

While it howled outside and crews worked to clear trees and power lines from the streets, Lynnfield residents weighed in on Facebook.

Here's what they said:

Jerine D Martin We have a tree down in our backyard. Ripped right out of the ground.

Tracy Ellsworth Oh dear God...here we go...brace ourselves

Len White still on at 8:15am ..I'm sure it will go off this afternoon sometime

As the storm blew on by, we posted a poll: "Was Irene As Bad As You Thought?" and of the people that responded, the answer was a resounding "no."
