'Sisters Who Sing' Lectures Begin Today

William C. Sano lecture is 10 a.m. at Old Meeting House. Friday, movie night with Lynnfield Rec. and Saturday, electronics recycling drive at Centre Church.

Today is Thursday, October 31. Here are five things worth knowing today.

William C. Sano, an area musical educator, conductor and pianist and organist, will return to the Meeting House for a new lecture series entitled “Sisters Who Sing.” Sano’s latest lineup will run Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon with The Andrews Sisters on October 31, The McGuire Sisters on November 7, the Lennon Sisters on Nov. 14 and The Supremes on Nov. 21. 

This Friday evening, Lynnfield Recreation presents a movie night at the Summer Street School running from 6:10 to 8:40 p.m. Kids aged 7-11 are welcome for the movie, which will be The Croods, rated PG. You can register for this and other activities on the Lynnfield Recreation website.

From Centre Congregational Church: Need to get rid of old appliances or electronics? Recycle them at Centre Church this Sat, Nov. 2 from 9am-1pm. Lower cost than town recycling stickers. Check the website for details www.centre-church.org or call 781-334-3050.

The Lynnfield Board of Health is having a flu clinic on Tuesday, November 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at town hall. Individuals should have no allergies to eggs or egg products, as well as no history of Guillain Barre Syndrome. Flumist will reportedly be available. Please bring insurance cards - $10 if it’s not accepted.
