Young Adult Craft at the Library, Selectmen Meet Tonight

Today is Monday, August 19. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Today at 3 p.m., the Lynnfield Library hosts a “Make-Something Monday” for young adults aged 12 to 18. This gathering will focus on bookmark stenciling.

Town Business: The Lynnfield selectmen meet at town hall tonight at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, August 21 at 10:30 a.m., children’s storyteller Alicia Quintano is at the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield with stories for kids in grades 1-4. No signup required.

Speaking of the Lynnfield Library, it’s BookLovers group will hold its first post-summer vacation meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The Lynnfield Senior Center: With meditation you can decrease blood pressure and heart rate, ease anxiety, manage pain, sharpen your mind and balance your emotions. This class is for all abilities; you may sit in a chair or lie on the floor.  Monday Sept. 9th and 23rd from 1:15 – 1:45. $3.00. First class is free.
