First ‘Hot Pot’ Restaurant Opens in Malden

Malden’s first “hot pot” restaurant recently opened.

Yong Yong opened July 7 at 100 Ferry St.

“Hot pot” restaurants have a pot of boiling stock in the center of the table. Customers can then cook their own food – usually thinly sliced meats, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms and wontons – in the broth.

Yong Yong also has a sushi buffet, dim sum and other dishes.

The restaurant is open 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day. It’s number is 781-322-8886.
