Katherine Clark Coming To Malden To Discuss Potential Medicaid Cuts
The Democratic Minority WHIP will be joined by state health workers and experts.
MALDEN, MA — Democratic Minority Whip Katherine Clark is coming to Malden Tuesday morning to discuss how the national budget recently passed by the House of Representatives could impact programs like Medicaid.
Clark is slated to be joined by Massachusetts Health and Human Services Secretary Kate Walsh, Cambridge Health CEO Dr. Assaad Sayah, Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association’s Vice President of Government Advocacy and Public Policy Emily Dulong at the Cambridge Health Alliance’s Malden Care Center on Canal Street. The event is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.
“The Republican budget aims to cut Medicaid by nearly $900 billion, a move that would rip health care away from 2 million children, families, seniors, and disabled Bay Staters while threatening the overall stability of our health care system. Nationwide, these cuts threaten 80 million Americans who rely on Medicaid,” Clark said in a statement.
