Malden Man Skips T Fare, Gets Busted For Outstanding Assault Warrant

MBTA Police nabbed Michael Deal, of Malden, at the Chinatown station Saturday.

Remember, everyone - always pay your fare on the T, especially if there’s a warrant out for your arrest.

The MBTA Police say they caught Michael Deal, 33, of Malden, avoiding the $2.10 - $2.65 fare at the Chinatown T station by “piggybacking” behind a customer on Saturday.

Transit police say they approached Deal to give him a ticket. Then they discovered he had an outstanding warrant for assault and battery on a police officer issued out of Malden.
