Malden Welcomes Five New Firefighters, Promotes Three
Meet the newest members of the Malden Fire Department.

MALDEN, MA — Five new firefighters were sworn in to the Malden Fire Department at a ceremony last week. The department also promoted three officers.
Firefighters Zachary Dfaria, Gene-Andrew Ouelette, Daniel Trentsch, Daniel Alexis Arzate Aguilar and Ralph Thelmaque were welcomed to the department. Firefighter David O'Connor was promoted to lieutenant, Lt. Timothy K. Robblee was promoted to captain and Firefighter Eric J. Provitola was promoted to lieutenant.
City Council President Neal Anderson, Councillor-At-Large Steve Winslow and Ward 7 Councillor Jadeane Sica were present for the event.

Fire Chief Bill Sullivan offered remarks, and Commissioner Emery Haskell invited family members to pin the promoted officers and new members. Assistant City Clerk Patty Bucciero took the oaths and swore in the officers.
