MANSFIELD, MA — A driver in a crash on Route 140 could have had worse injuries if not for their seat belt, police said.

Police determined that the tractor-trailer was traveling on Route 140 South when the driver failed to stop for a red turn signal and turned the vehicle in the path of oncoming northbound traffic.

The operator of the tractor-trailer unit, registered and licensed out of the state of Georgia, was cited for failure to stop at a red light and failure to use care and caution - resulting in a crash.
