Driver In Mansfield Hotel Crash To Face Leaving The Scene Charge

The driver crashed a car into the Holiday Inn on Hampshire Street over Labor Day weekend.

MANSFIELD, MA — The driver who crashed into a building over Labor Day weekend will face charges.

A 33-year-old from Mansfield was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage, according to the Mansfield Police Log.

At about 5:23 p.m. on Sept. 2, police and firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle that went through one of the rooms at the Holiday Inn on Hampshire Street. While the driver returned to the scene, he didn’t do so in the vehicle he was driving in.

No injuries were reported at the scene and the rest of the building was able to remain open, the Sun Chronicle reported at the time.
