Mansfield Man Dies In Snowmobile Crash In New Hampshire

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but New Hampshire Conservation Officers believe inexperience was the primary factor.

MANSFIELD, MA — A man from Mansfield was killed after a snowmobile crash in New Hampshire over the weekend.

Derric Harper, 36, of Mansfield, was snowmobiling with a friend around noon on Friday, Jan. 28, on the Corridor Trail 20 in Pittsburg, NH when Conservation Officer Eric Fluette said Harper lost control of his snowmobile, crashing into a tree on the side of the trail.

Fluette said when his friend noticed Harper was no longer behind him, he turned around to find Harper had been thrown from his snowmobile and sustained serious injuries.
