Mansfield Police Investigating Apparent Drug Lab In Apartment

The erratic behavior of a man prompted a call to emergency crews who found an active drug lab in a Mansfield apartment Monday, police say.

MANSFIELD, MA — The scene has been declared safe, and residents can now return home to 17 Fulton Place in Mansfield after police and firefighters evacuated the building due to the finding of an active drug lab.

Police and fire personnel responded to a request for medical assistance to 17 Fulton Place in Mansfield around 1:22 a.m. Monday. Once they arrived, they found a man who needed help due to demonstrating irrational and strange behavior.

The man was transported to a hospital and on-scene personnel discovered what appeared to be an active lab for manufacturing unlawful narcotics in his apartment, according to the Mansfield Police Department in a Facebook post.

The building was evacuated and crews from the Massachusetts State Fire Marshal’s Hazmat team responded.

No further information was immediately available, but Mansfield police say they are focusing on the one unit in the apartment in the investigation.
