Mansfield Police Log: Car Theft, Caught Burglar and More Eggs

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from dates April 13 to April 17

April 13

3:21 p.m. Caller reported malicious damage to his mailbox on Potash Road.

4:30 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that loaned her laptop to a friend and the friend will not return it.

April 14

12:54 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that she may be the victim of identity theft. She stated that she was unable to file her tax return because someone had allegedly filed under her social security number already.

April 15

5:53 p.m. Gregory Cotter, 22, of 6 Rainbow Cir. was arrested for breaking into a vehicle for a felony, larceny over $250 and possession of a burglary instrument.

8:23 p.m. Caller reported that his residence was just egged.

April 16

1:31 p.m. Craig Hurley, 18, of Donegal Way was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

8:42 p.m. Caller reported a group of youths  were throwing eggs at his home on Pleasant Street.

April 17

5:36 a.m. Caller reported her vehicle was broken into sometime during the night on Central Street. A GPS was reported missing.

7:08 a.m. Caller repoted his vehicle was broken into sometime during the night on Central Street. A small amount of change was reported missing.

7:13 a.m. Caller reported that three of his vehicles were broken into during the night and the fourth vehicle was stolen.  The vehicle was a 2002 Saturn. Various items were taken from the three vehicles, and the Saturn was reported to have front-end damage, and would not have been able to drive very far.

7:38 a.m. Caller reported that two of her vehicles on Atwood Street were broken into during the night.

7:48 a.m. Caller reported that her husband’s vehicle was broken into during the night.
