Mansfield Police Log: Illegal Ammunition, Domestic Assault and Shoplifting

The following is from the Mansfield Police log from Aug. 10 to Aug. 12 2012.

Aug. 10

12:10 p.m. Tariq Alouani, 44, of 421 Franklin St. was arrested for breaking his abuse prevention order (restraining order). 

3:28 p.m. Caller reported that his residence had been broken into while he was away on vacation.

6:23 p.m. Charles Cook, 47, of 792 West St. was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon,  improper storage of firearms, possession of unlawful ammunition and possession of a firearm without a FID card. A 911 call reported that a party had been selling magazines door to door at the apartment complex on West St. Cook allegedly pulled out a pistol after the reporting party stated his business. Police arrived and allegedly performed a consensual search of the apartment and found a .380 milimeter caliber handgun, with illegal ammunition. Cook was held on $25,000 bail.

2:20 a.m.  Michelle Galvin, 21, of 121 Cocasset St. in Foxborough was arrested for providing alcohol to a minor. Devin Heroux, 19, of 91 South St. in Holbrook was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

10:55 a.m. Caller reported that multiple vehicles on the River Street commuter parking lot were damaged.

4:27 p.m. Jessica Capps, 20, of 110 Chestnut St. in Lincoln Rhode Island and Mariann Capps, 46, f 84 Church St. were given a summons arrest for domestic assault and battery.

5:25 p.m. Caller reported that her vehicle was broken into on the River Street commuter rail parking lot. $500.00 worth of golf clubs were taken.

Aug 12

10:24 a.m. Caller from Home Depot reported that an employee removed $1,200 worth of merchandise from the store.

11:12 a.m. Caller reported that a customer at Stop and Shop allegedly left the store with a carriage full of merchandise and did not pay.
