Mansfield Police Log: Solar Theft, Mailboxes and OUI

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from May 8 to 12.

May 8

10:58 a.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that four of his solar lights were taken from his yard on Concetta Drive.

3:06 p.m. Derek Washburn, 21, of 20 Copeland Dr. was arrested on a warrant by Mansfield Police. He was wanted for alleged kidnapping of his 19-year-old girlfriend.

10:57 a.m. Mansfield Police assisted in the evacuation of the Robinson Elementary School after a staff member had reported finding a white powder substance in an envelope.

May 11

1:13 a.m. James Harrington, 24, of 136 Highland Ave. was arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Route 140 and School Street.

8:48 p.m.  Mansfield Police responded to a call reporting a vehicle driving on the track and field area of the high school. Vehicle was reportedly a white Passat and no damage was found on the track.

May 12

1:51 p.m. Caller reported a stolen license plate on Fruit Street.

2:28 p.m. Caller reported a stolen license plate while parked at the Comcast Center.

3:17 p.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle collision at the Comcast Center between a golf cart and a vehicle. No injuries reported.

4:26 p.m.  A grill was reported stolen at the Comcast Center.

5:11 p.m. Caller reported that a male party was in her back yard and broke a window on her shed near Columbus Avenue. Police found the damage was actually to the Fales Oil Building.

6:14 p.m. Caller reported his car was the victim of a hit and run in the Staples parking lot the previous day.
