Mansfield Preparing for the Prom

Prom is coming up in Mansfield, and local businesses are getting ready.

Jen McDonald, owner of Jennerations Salon, said that right now, Waterfall Braids are the most popular hairstyle for the Mansfield prom, followed closely by French Braids.

McDonald said also Shellac nails are the most popular manicure, which is a gel covering dried by ultraviolet light. McDonald added they use protective gloves during the drying process.

Elise Gately, who works at Stobbarts Flowers, said recently wrist corsages have been very popular, but she said she thinks traditional corsages will be coming back in the next year or so.

“Hopefully they’ll be back soon,” she said. “It does vary by town though.”
