Mansfield Selectmen Charge Comcast $5K for Drake Concert Overage
Mansfield Selectmen charge Comcast Center $5,000 for the June Drake Concert that went 15 minutes over the time limit.

The Mansfield Board of Selectmen charged the Comcast Center $5,000 for going over their time limit by 15 minutes during the Drake concert in June in a 3-1 vote on Wednesday.
The actual fine would be 50 cents for every person in attendance (13,779 people) for going over 15 minutes but under 30 minutes. The fine, if selectmen decided to charge the full amount, would have been $6,889.50.
“I’ve always felt strongly about overages,” Mansfield selectmen George Dentino said. “They can’t get them into agreements and under control.”

Dentino went on to point out that when Bruce Springsteen and Sir Paul McCartney’s concert in England on July 15 the pair’s concert was shut down for going half an hour over the time limit.
“They didn’t have any problem s out there addressing the overage with Springsteen and McCartney,” he said. “We’ve always had a [fine] every year.”

Selectman chair Olivier Kozlowski said that this year the fines have been increased from last year, saying that they have reacted to the fact that there is at least one concert every year that goes over the time limit.
