Mansfield Woman To Run 2021 Boston Marathon For Make-A-Wish

Mansfield resident Kim Foley will run the 125th Boston Marathon on a 26.2-mile route as a member of Team Make-A-Wish for Massachusetts.

MANSFIELD, MA — Next Monday, Mansfield resident Kim Foley will run the 125th Boston Marathon on a 26.2-mile route from Hopkinton to Boston as a member of Team Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

As a team member, Foley is raising $7,500 to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses through Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, combining her love of running with her commitment to charity.

Foley served as head coach for the Mansfeld High School junior varsity lacrosse team and played four years of varsity lacrosse at Framingham State University, including serving as captain. An account executive at software company PTC, she is also a Pilates instructor and a certified personal trainer.

Foley will run for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island through an entry provided by John Hancock. Each year, John Hancock donates guaranteed entries to select nonprofits, which use these entries to recruit individual runners to raise money for their cause. Last year, John Hancock-sponsored runners raised more than $10.7 million for over 140 organizations.
