Wednesday (11/17/21) BROKEN WATER MAIN

Earlier today a contractor hit the water main in Central while prepping the roadway to install a new water service at 87 Central St on Thursday.  The broken main incident resulted in a temporary 45 minute interruption in water service this afternoon for customers on Central St. and Avon St. while the repair was being completed  Water service was restored to all customers impacted before 2pm.

NEW:  Thursday (11/18/21)  NOTICE OF WATER SHUT OFF CENTRAL & AVON ST

Water will be shut off to customers on Central St. and Avon Street for approximately 4-6 hours to facilitate a new water service connection at 87 Central St.  Customer impacted by this temporary shut off for this work received hand delivered notification from the Water Division.  Customers are urged to plan accordingly. 

As a result of this work, customers in Central St., Avon St. and nearby street areas may or may not experience discolored water, should this occur, please run water until color appears clear.
